St. Germans- Cornwall

The village of St Germans lies on the River Tiddy just west of Plymouth.
Despite it’s small size the village was the home of Cornwall’s cathedral - a huge Norman church dedicated following the accession of Conan to the bishopric.
The quay was at the heart of St Germans economic success, transporting cargoes of minerals, coal, timber, limestone and roadstone.

Nearby Port Eliot is the home of a popular literary festival.
