Right down the end of the Roseland peninsula, St Mawes is a wonderful waterside village, perfect for holidays and short breaks. The huge natural harbour is the third largest in the world making the village very attractive to sailors and other watersport fans. On one side of the Fal estuary is St Mawes castle, the best preserved and most elaborately decorated of Henry VIII's coastal fortresses. |
